About Us

Welcome to Kingsdown Angling Club.

We are based in the historic fishing village of Kingsdown. The club was formed in 1948 by local residents, many of whom had recently returned from serving in World War II.

The founding president was Colonel Farrier O.B.E. and the first headquarters was 'The Victory' public house (now known as Victory Cottage). Over the subsequent years, The Zetland Arms, The Kings Head, and, currently, The Rising Sun, have all hosted as club headquarters.

Kingsdown Angling Club is based in the Dover District Council boat compound on the beach at Kingsdown, there you will find the club hut, two club winches, and wash-down facilities. Boats up to 16ft in length can stored on the council owned plots, rented from Dover District Council, or can be trailered to the site. Launch and retrieval is via the council owned boat launch ramp.

Club fees are:

£20 individual annual membership

£25 family annual membership
